Lexington Health Care Center of La Grange Receives Five-Star Quality Rating from the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services

La Grange, IL, February 10, 2011 – Lexington Health Care Center of La Grange has received the coveted and honorable Five-Star Quality Rating from CMS (Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services). CMS created the Five-Star Quality Rating to assist consumers, their families and caregivers in comparing nursing and rehabilitative facilities. This rating system gives each facility a rating between 1 and 5 stars. Facilities with 5 stars, such as Lexington Health Care Center of La Grange, are considered to be well above the average quality. The Five-Star Quality Rating is based on gathering the following data from facilities:

  • Health Inspections
  • Staffing
  • Quality Measures

The combined star rating of each of the above sources are combined to calculate an overall rating.
