WHERE IT ALL BEGINS

The Lexington story begins back in 1983, when a young family purchased land in Lombard with the intention of developing a state-of-the-art senior health care facility. The goal was to create a place where residents could recover from a short spell of illness or spend the duration of their life under the caring watch of a compassionate staff. When the doors finally opened in 1984, Lexington Health Care officially was launched.

From 1984 to 1996, the family created a dynamic and comprehensive health care system that grew to include 10 nursing facilities, two Independent Life Care Centers, and a home health care agency. This rapid growth is attributed to the family's desire to expand a developed template for superior health and senior care — a family business caring for families in need.

DEPEND ON US

While the senior health care industry has undergone substantial changes over the last 25 years, one thing remains constant: Lexington is a family- owned and operated health care company.
